How to control acne

How to control acne

There are two forms of acne. There is the normal acne which arrives during early adolescence (acne vulgaris).There is also another type which affects older people (Roseca). Roseca normally consists of a lot of redness and spots.

The cause of both instances is relatively unknown but hormonal changes/imbalances can be a key factor where acne is concerned. The adult variant of acne (Roseca) on the other hand has many possible causes.

* Anxiety

* Alcohol

* Food allergies

Anxiety

There is a lot of evidence to suggest that stress can worsen acne by stimulating the production of hormones .Stress relief techniques such as yoga or Tai chi can help to lessen the stresses of everyday life. Even breathing deeply from the stomach can have a stress relieving effect.

Alcohol

As alcohol can cause hormonal imbalances it is fair to assume that it can have an effect on acne. Alcohol can also raise stress levels

Allergies

Allergies to certain foods (usually dairy) can cause inflammation on the skin.

Solutions

* Drinking one litre of water a day can help keep the skin hydrated.

* keeping the skin clean and free from grease can help fight acne.

* Cutting down on Alcohol can reduce stress levels and hormone imbalances.

* Yoga meditation and deep breathing can help reduce stress

* Acne responds well to an Aloe Vera based gelly rubbed on the affected areas.
